Day 1 Colombo/Pinnewala/Kandy
You will be met by your driver and taken
to the renowned Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage which was
established in order to save abandoned or sick elephants
Here you have a wonderful opportunity to observe so many
wild elephants at such close quarters.. Watching so many
elephants coming to bathe in the river is one of the highlights
of the visit.Later you travel to Kandy and check into
your hotel . In the evening we suggest that you visit
the ceremony at the famous SriDalada Maligawa (the Temple
of the tooth) The temple is probably Srilanka’s most important
Buddha relic . One of Buddha’s teeth was supposedly snatched
form his funeral fire in BC 543 and smuggled to Srilanka
during 4th Century and eventually ended up in Kandy where
it is preserved in this now famous Buddha temple. The
special poojas (ceremonies) are normally held each day
at 0600, 1000 and 1800 and are certainly worth a visit.
Day
2 Kandy/Tea Gardens
After breakfast make a brief tour of Kandy before your
driving through the hills and tea plantations to your
next hotel, a recently lovingly restored, tea Plantation
Manager’s bungalow. Here you can relax and enjoy the peace
offered by the tranquil surroundings.

Day3 Tea Gardens
Today you
may like to enjoy the calm atmosphere, of your hotel or
maybe take a trek through the tea estates and watch some
of the locals plucking tea, in sometimes a visit can be
arranged to tour a tea processing unit.

Day4 Tea Gardens/ Colombo district
The morning can again
be enjoyed relaxing at the hotel,then mid afternoon, you
transfer to your hotel near the beach and within easy
reach of Colombo airport.Alternatively you can remain
at your hotel and next morning start to Colombo airport
for your onward flight.
